Intravenous Sedation (“Twilight Sedation”)

Our office does not offer IV sedation. We feel that IV sedation, although generally safe, is not without serious risk. We do however, believe in the importance of reducing anxiety for those patients who have fears and phobias related to dentistry. We have chosen to help our patients overcome these fears in other ways. We have had great success by first identifying the source of the fear, and addressing this directly. If the fear is pain, we have excellent anesthesia techniques that are very effective. If the fear is loss of control, we take more time and allow the patient to control the pace of the procedure and stop for breaks as they deem necessary.
